I bought shares in this company at 4.5p in September 2003. I see they are rising. Can anyone tell me please the growth potential for this company as they have just been awarded several new contracts ?

Moi Aussi - I still hold 500,000 shares in the vain hope that some good news will come through. Only really holding now as a means of offsetting gains in other shars (SEO). I learnt my lesson on stop losses with this share - an expensive way to learn.
Maybe some news soon - but dont hold your breath

strange that there is nothing in the major papers about yesterday's rise..not even in any "risers" lists.... maybe this is a false alarm/alert, a classic pump and dump exercise.. without any rns release soon, this could go all the way down again...

CWV shares suspended and are in reverse takeover talks. what does this mean?

it could be good. sp comes back higher.. increased mkt cap/turnover etc..
or it can be bad if a dilution of shares comes along/more shares issued to fund aquisition/expension/development plans...
most times a reverse t/o should be good and sp comes back stronger but...anything can happen,, I've seen it before that a reversal can be bad for the sp..lets hope it's not too long before we all find out.

A reverse takeover means they are buying something much bigger than themselves. The current business is therefore of little importance and a change of management is likely (probably the directors of the company reversing in will take over the reins of CWV).
How is the new business to be financed? Probably a large issue of new shares by rights issue? Possibly.
Will the share come back higher? Only if the market thinks the new business has more promise than the existing one. As the market thinks the existing one stinks, the chances of a higher share price per shares in issue after the change is likely I would think.

I disagree with a dump and pump, not what happen in the last 6 mo. More a classic example for insider dealing the large trade volume coming in not without a reason. Someone, not like you or me, was already in the know the week before and quietly accumulate stock. One would not dare to buy yesterday morning even when SP has only risen 10 or 20%, fear that money will be locked-in for too long, rememeber that few days ago the spread was over 30%, sane trader without inside information would hesitate to buy.

Littlejon, I like you bought a boat load when they were yo-yo ing at 14.25p. and when they went to less than 2p I wrote them off as a long term wait and see share. Good luck

if you bought a boat load you could be millionar soon. 2p was too cheap, even 10p for a company supplying an advanced technology to CME & CBOT. For some reasons the management doesn't let us know why CBOT does so well, but CWV ends up with nearly nothing apart talking from a strong pipe of hopeful contracts. With whom, what kind and how far they are in the discussion ... no idea why they never release any of it.
It doesn fit into any logic that CBOT has released so many times good news, so many branchs & banks practically have used the data feed over CBOT supply for "free" to CWV term, CBOT dealed contracts keeps broken record's level without any problem regarding the TDI data feed, and CWV not even sends out one complaint or warning that sort of usage could be a breach of contract ... that alone is millions of pounds worth if come for a US court. Think if I lend you a good Mercedes with a certain discount, a promotion, only for personal usage and u make your living in doing taxi transport for high profile celebs. Nothing better would come in my mind than gathering enough evidence for taking you soon to court.
Unless there is one reason: a special clause guarantee for CBOT to do full field trial, to be the only owner on the US market, allowing it to weaken other rivals, then after certain time .... WHAT follows? Maybe it is too far fetched, maybe it is too crazy idea!? But it really doesn't make sense otherwise. CWV could have bad and incompetent manager, but they couldn't be that stupid not to complain.

I'm in the Bankone club.....was expecting a "hope it recovers by pension day" job....I've just been converted to the feng shui investment approach and will paint my front door red in hope of a good post suspension chart....
