Duly celebrated, bottle gone, and I must be also,
Gotta blow
Goodnight all

SC

Socrates - 13 Nov 2004 10:03 - 18422 of 23498

Well done Stormy, have a FEB to top off the celebration. I'll stick with bran flakes because I am becoming too cuddly. I'll have a FEB tomorrow, a little of what you fancy.... As they say.

optomistic - 13 Nov 2004 10:04 - 18423 of 23498

Morning all
Very quiet in here last night, just for a change no mess to clear up. Just the one bottle of DP. Sorry I wasn't in to help you celebrate Stormy, nice week for you. I have not had that pleasure for so long I forget if I have had a double in a week at all! Ever hopeful though and looking to the future :-)
I think I will have a coffee this morning for a change, and as Bunny pointed out yesterday we have no Danish young women in the cellar I will settle for a pastry.

optomistic - 13 Nov 2004 10:05 - 18424 of 23498

Morning Socs looks like we got up at the same time this AM

Socrates - 13 Nov 2004 10:34 - 18425 of 23498

Good morning Opto. I've been up since 9:05, that's late for me, the internal clock usually kicks in at 7:00. Just trying to psych myself up for a 5 mile walk, it is such a bright, fresh day it seems a shame not to make the best of it.

STORMCALLER - 13 Nov 2004 14:35 - 18426 of 23498

Good afternoon all,
Late arrival from trolley race, but successfully concluded nonetheless. Fresh pot of tea is ready, and I aim to take full advantage, as it is a bit late for breakfast...
Hope Socs returns safely from his safari..:)

optomistic - 13 Nov 2004 15:36 - 18427 of 23498

Hello Stormy
Now this seems a nice quiet place to spend the rest of the afternoon, I'm going to sit in this chair by the fire and put my feet up.

jj50 - 13 Nov 2004 16:32 - 18428 of 23498

Hello opto. Just going to make some tea and warm some scones, would you like some? Clotted cream and jam to accompany. Is there a log fire in this cafe - need it today, mighty chilly.

little willie - 13 Nov 2004 16:42 - 18429 of 23498

DD..yup, bit of a traitor I guess but then again The Boks lost; so they should have 'cos they were pretty awful. Lots of complaints and moans will be the order of the day tommorrow.
Rugby is religion over her.
Jeff.. Baa Baas v All Blacks is not a bad baptism altho' Gloucester would be better.

JJ..I'll have a scone or three to go with the half kilo of biltong I've munched my way through watching the above game please but don't need the fire, its bloody 34 degrees here. Air Con is working like hell and the pool has been busy all afternoon.

jj50 - 13 Nov 2004 18:02 - 18430 of 23498

Ok, we're envious LW. Just think fondly of those "chestnuts crackling on the open fire", bright sunny, chilly days and snowflakes drifting down .... and you'll remember it was only like that on Christmas cards!!! Don't you have a moment of nostalgia?!! My memory of living abroad was of people all clammering to go to Burns Suppers and St. Andrews nights that they would never have gone to at home!

I used to go to all the Gloucester matches when I lived in Cirencester, were you there :-))Scones served - wish I was sitting by the pool!

Socrates - 13 Nov 2004 18:39 - 18431 of 23498

Hello, company! I've brought in some toasting forks and some tea cakes. We can sit near the fire and scorch a few buns, nice fresh English butter and we're well away.

I fancy some pudding wine this evening. You know the stuff, takes a while to pour because it is so sticky.

jeffmack - 13 Nov 2004 18:42 - 18432 of 23498

Hi Socs
I'm just looking for a hotel in Cheltenham for next years festival

Big Al - 13 Nov 2004 19:26 - 18433 of 23498

Lovely job, SC. Got a feeling after a pullback, it might go again! ;-)

Evening. Chilly and dark out there, but very cozy in here. I'll just do a chestnut job on the toes and then I'll be off.

jj50 - 13 Nov 2004 20:03 - 18434 of 23498

Wel Al, trying to work out if your message should be censored or not?

jeffmack, I meant to say to you that the year of the IRA staying in your hotel(!), that must have been ten years ago, as my kids were at school there then. You have quite whetted my appetite to go to the races again (meeting this week-end I think) so we are planning heading to Cheltenham for the New Year do (I have to be in the West of England then anyway). It should be fun!

daves dazzlers - 13 Nov 2004 20:37 - 18435 of 23498

Evening all,whats new !
Sounds like that spurs/arsenal game was a hot one steve,,lucky boy, good win for us ..

STORMCALLER - 13 Nov 2004 21:23 - 18436 of 23498

Been dozing in the corner, trolley racing takes it out of you, watch says Guinness'oclock, so that's what I will do, cheers!

optomistic - 13 Nov 2004 21:40 - 18437 of 23498

Hello Stormy, Guiness is great but will it be OK after Champagne? I'm just at the back end of a bottle I've had in stock for a while, decided it was taking up too much room in the fridge :-)))

daves dazzlers - 13 Nov 2004 21:50 - 18438 of 23498

Evening boys/girls.

optomistic - 13 Nov 2004 21:51 - 18439 of 23498

Evening Double D, had a nice day?

STORMCALLER - 13 Nov 2004 21:57 - 18440 of 23498

opto,
I've used that excuse, a valuable strategem...:) Not concerned about the mixing, I am sure the two are eminently compatible...lol
