I've been tied up (metaphorically speaking) with other committments for a couple of weeks and will be for a further week or two. It's a shame to let the thread drop down.

Seems to be supported at around 1.81 so am currently long Cable which I'm looking to let run into the MPC next week as I figure that speculation will mount as to a further rise in UK interest rates.

not sure i am just trying to decide wether to close my forex trades until after the figs or not,

i recon if they do not increase the rate the market will look at that as bad , after last fridays bad non farm payrolls,

but then again who knows what the mkt will do,

Sitting short /yen and downward movement over the last couple of days.
It's brushing up against support on the hourly chart and a new downward channel would seem to be forming.
Also it always falls from August until later in the year.
Hoping to keep this one for at least a while? Oil price a possible wild card though.

Still can't run profits - didn't catch that fantastic spike today on Cable but closed a long a few minutes before, and closed three more longs after it (total about 50 points). Could have left any of them to run but I just can't - the only times I have done in the past I've lost a load!

Bet some of you have made a fortune today.
