Chaco Resources(CHP)- new oil play (CHP)

grevis2 - 21 Oct 2004 12:55

LONDON (AFX) - Chaco Resources PLC said it is proposing the reverse takeover
of two Paraguayan companies -- Amerisur SA and Bohemia SA -- from Candey SA and
Daniel Sztern in exchange for 27,322,404 new ordinary shares in the company.
It also plans to raise up to 750,000 stg before expenses in a placing of
36,585,365 new ordinary shares.
The company's shares were suspended on Sept 3 and it said it expects this to
be lifted today. It has called an EGM for Nov 15 to approve the acquisition and
placing plans.
Amerisur holds two oil and gas prospecting permits in Paraguay and is the
registered applicant for exploration and exploitation concession contracts over
the same permit areas. Bohemia holds registered applications for an oil and gas
prospecting permit in Paraguay and for an exploration and exploitation
concession contract over the same area.
The exploration areas covered by these three applications comprise a total of
approximately 48,000 square kilometres of the Curypayty and Parana Basins.
Chaco said these basins extend respectively into Bolivia and Brazil, where
commercial oil and gas production has been established for many years from
similar geological sections.

2517, I haven't seen any sells which look to me like large shareholders selling out; I view most of the trades of under 500000 as being more daytraders using the present time as a dealing opportunity. For their own good they had better have a decent stoploss in place if they are shorting CHP. The confirmation of Primavera could come out at any time; the time zone implications and Civil Service procedures make it all the more difficult to guess exactly when. My view was that today should have given sufficient time to sort out the post meeting paperwork.

Today would be good given all the nervous holders!

chesneya - 01 Mar 2006 12:47 - 1863 of 2227

I recently topped up at 16 pence (previous buys at 7 & 10 pence), the big boys are still in the game and the small '000 traders have made a nice little profit for themselves and ducked out.
This one will reward the faithful. Watch for the RNS this afternoon.

M_P_H - 01 Mar 2006 16:12 - 1867 of 2227

Late flurry of buys, a few MM's moved offer away from market.

Moneylender - 01 Mar 2006 16:47 - 1868 of 2227

capetown - 01 Mar 2006 16:54 - 1870 of 2227

WAS that a definate sale?

Moneylender - 01 Mar 2006 17:04 - 1871 of 2227

I would guess it to be a buy, but there is no way of knowing.

stockdog

vistauk - 01 Mar 2006 21:25 - 1875 of 2227

totally agree barney, although lse show no movement. does it matter really?

Greyhound - 01 Mar 2006 21:50 - 1876 of 2227

I agree with stockdog, price rose briefly and closed unchanged - not that it really makes any difference. Hopefully we won't be squabbling over 1/4p soon!

M_P_H - 02 Mar 2006 08:13 - 1877 of 2227

Is something brewing here, a late flurry of buyers scrabbling to get in during the last four minutes of trading yesterday and a fair few keen buyers this morning.

capetown - 02 Mar 2006 08:15 - 1878 of 2227

Its looking good

"i am glued to my screen and will top up the second its out"

I think that is a good strategy to buy or top up. In my view the share price will jump but still move strongly ahead thereafter. Plus you have the security of knowing the deal is done. The only problem is being there when the news is released.

Sharesure - 02 Mar 2006 09:04 - 1880 of 2227

Looking back at the timings of all of CHP's announcements doesn't help you either as they seem to be at any time of the day. This confirmation must be very very close.
