Hello traders!

At the close in New York tonight, the Dow rose 77.80 points to 11,228.02. The S&P500 gained 9.99 points at 1,280.19 and the Nasdaq Composite surged 18.34 points to 2,190.43.

Good morning traders!

In Asia today, the Hang Seng ended the morning up 24.53 points at 16,351.19, while the Nikkei was recently up 105.47 points at 15,677.09.

Oil prices edged towards $74 a barrel on concern over record gasoline demand over the US Independence Day holiday.

No US markets today should put a damper on things.
