Irish Patent (AWR)

hangon - 25 Jul 2006 14:30

Oh well, it keeps the workers off the streets - Oh No it doesn't.
This Irish-based business will manifest itself at various airports (untill chased off) and attempt to advertise special offers not available in the High Street (why you'd want to carry something all the way to Spain and back - I dunno)....maybe a Big Bun discount if the Cafe is down on numbers etc.
They have an Irish patent ...and seek similar in UK, USA etc...but it seems a daft idea to me...it's a bit of a gimmick, .......whereas what you want to see is a scanty-clad young wench with an ad printed on her shirt/Bikiini so yu can pretend you're short-sighted and then ask where Floor 7 is... - ....whilst you wait ....and wait....and wait for your plane to be called.
I suppose it offers greater flexibility compared with handing out scraps of paper ,or having a large sheet of plywood tied to your body. Such "walkers" are potentially to be banned from London's Oxford Street, since some are not nice young ladies, rather they are indistinguishable slappers touting for something special.
The sp started a lot higher than the 3.5p is is now...I think there may have been an Ofex listiing earlier, but it seems mighty late to be writing Patents for your core business. I just hope the batteries are light, otherwise the young ladies will take on a defiinate lean.
I don't hold this Irish-based AIM stock.

Adwalker ads music to its services...
So now you can Stop me and bung one - that is a download of music to your ipod. Just why you'd want to ditch your existing tunes beats me, but maybe if you've nicked a ipod that morning you'll want to shuffle-in your own brand of music PDQ and a the sight of an adwaker might just clinch it.
Well I can't imagine many downloads being required just at the moment you see an ad walker...if are they only employing people over 7 feet tall, this might explain the shortage (!) or adwalker staff.
Well the sp has been pushed up by MM's - let's wait and see if they catch on, but I have my doubts.
Now, if they could recharge my batteries....

Oh dear 1p and issue of Equity late 2007 - can this ever recover?

Seemed like a daft idea to me, - and hardly worthy of investment.

Recent News - UK Patent, for this Dublin-based outfit....it appears to confirm the position of a patented wearable display - yet the "walker" has to carry a printer and paper, batteries and all manner of other stuff....it rose quite a bit today, dunno why ( no RNS), and can be bought for 0.45pence - This started ouit on AIM at 10p (2005), so what cost you 10k then, can be bought for 450 - but would you want to?
+Always struck me as a daft idea - (see above!) - not any different to having some lightly-clad girls holding advertising unbrellas, or handing out leaflets with a big smile, etc. +Sure the Ad can convey additional info - but would you want to wear this kit? No, and neither would scanty-clad pretty girls, I guess. Indeed to avoid having the electronic kit nicked, you need to employ rather oily oiks with big muscles....ugh!
SP tells it all - there is insufficient profit in this Irish business, only execs win.
