European Goldfields (EGU) (EGU)

ejvind - 02 Aug 2006 22:27

Hi

I've been owning shares in this company for some months now and have become a bit frustrated by the lack of movement.

The company produces zinc, lead and silver, all metals which prices have been increasing, but the share price has been falling on very small volume (average about 7 trades daily in june)

As late as this morning they reported some positive news about a new project i Romania - but no effect on SP and 2 trades all day.

Does anybody have any idea why there is not any upwards movement in the stock?

Secondly does anybody know who the shareholders are?

Thank you.

EJVind,

I know nothing about this company, but have a lot of other small resources co's on my books, and the fact is they are all drifting downwards, even those that were leaping on good news before the slide in May. Positive news currently produces at the most a couple of days of upwards movement in the SP before the drift resumes.

It's bascially overall stock market conditions.

Andy pointed out yesterday on the FDI thread that a lot of funds have suffered redemptions, i.e. a lot of money is being pulled out of the market at present.

Expect the tide to start rising again after the summer season - I should think anyway!

My view is to watch and wait for bargains while still holding anything I have at present, as in the majority of cases I think the worst of the slippage is probably already behind us.

All IMO, WDIK, etc.
