I'm in -couldn't resist a potential 10 bagger! wish I'd seen it before the results came out-fantastic set of numbers. rocketing up today!!

soul traders - 21 Aug 2006 14:41 - 3 of 3050

MP - are you on the BB at the moment?? - am going to send you a quick e-mail; would apprciate your thoughts asap!

soul traders - 21 Aug 2006 15:05 - 4 of 3050

Well, I hope my calculations are correct - have checked and rechecked. I see the profits and the market cap multiplying around 2.5 times on full year numbers. The good news is these guys are producing financial results every quarter, which should really stoke the excitement.

I have gone in for 2,000 shs; it has to be the fastest purchase decision I have ever made.

Thanks Whatuwant for the excellent tip!

Just got confirmation of my trade - 145.5p incl deal costs.

My hands are shaking - anyone fancy a drink?

(Whatuwant & MP - beers are in order if this baby delivers :o)

soul traders - 21 Aug 2006 15:16 - 6 of 3050

And a nice thought to keep me awake - what's this stock going to do tomorrow when everyone reads about it in the Times and the Indy?

Only 2 mil shares traded so far today . . . I'm enjoying this :o)

fortitude18 - 21 Aug 2006 15:38 - 7 of 3050

8M shares traded since flotation. 10M free float. People realising that you've gotta dig deep to find a company with growth prospects like this. I like the strengthening margins from 25 to 32%. shows efficiency in production and pricing power.

with a Superb supply contract with MOtech the company seems set for stella growth in its core market.

By my reckoning the current SP of 145 (also market cap of 145 mil) covers current quarter's profits, multiplied by 4 (i.e. $5.05 mil x 4 = $20.2 mil). Say that was a nice, round 10 mil - that means we're on a PE of 14.5 for pre-tax profits - and there's all that growth from the extra facilities still to come over the rest of the year.

I rest my case.

soul traders - 21 Aug 2006 15:42 - 9 of 3050

Interesting points, Fortitude. I can't see the shareholding breakdown - I might have guessed the institutions were already into this in a big way. You're dead right about the margins - that could improve yet again as the new facilities take up any leftover slack.

fortitude18 - 21 Aug 2006 16:04 - 10 of 3050

I like the idea of comparisons between Suntech (pe of 101 - mcap 4.2bn) and Renesola. also generating free cashflow which is fundamental for a fast growing young company, certainly helps capital investment and inspires confidence in its suppliers, customers and shareholders.

the Motech deal extends into 2009! now that tells me that Motech are very very confident that Renesola have the capacity and capability to execute the contract. massive vote of confidence for a young company

Temptations are driving me closer and closer to this stock, not sure whether to wait till tomorrow or go for it ,will see ,a big sale has just gone through, mean more shares been released for some one else to buy.

bigbobjoylove - 21 Aug 2006 16:22 - 12 of 3050

pile in ready for tomorrow, undiscovered by the press as yet.

whatuwant - 21 Aug 2006 17:38 - 13 of 3050

ateeq180 - I hope you are in as tomorrow it will probably open higher.

Contract also extends to JLS. Nice.....plenty of future earnings visibility.

Nevermind the fact that after Q3 there'll be 90 furnaces ( as opposed to 36 at end Q2 ) and 5 wafer slicing machines which will improve gross margins and efficiency.

fwiw - I added a few just before the bell too.

soul traders - 21 Aug 2006 19:20 - 14 of 3050

WUW -agree your sentiment that it will probably open higher. Basically SOLA told us in their financials exactly how much money they'll be making for the rest of the year. Which I thought was jolly decent of them, as it made the case for buying a total no-brainer. Hence my quick jump in.

Once again, thanks for an excellent tip, and I'm impatient to see what this will do over the next few days and weeks.

whatuwant - 21 Aug 2006 22:23 - 15 of 3050

Jolly decent is right....Ha ha.....

My current target is 225p but I am now settling down to calculate a nice exit point as opposed to the randomly picked 225p.

btw My last purchase was at 150p, 50% of that = 75p so 150 + 75 = 225p. A nice 50% gain. Just picking random numbers really.

However I am certain that SOLA will carry on after a 50% gain so I will work out a few calculations now and will share in the morning.

fortitude18 - 21 Aug 2006 22:32 - 16 of 3050

did a few calcs with post tax profit (10%) for coming in around 12M on a pe of around 15. now thats a price of 18. MEMC valued on current earnings of 26 pe! well you can see the room for growth can't you

phew

moneyplus - 22 Aug 2006 01:06 - 17 of 3050

very informative thread on Advfn which alerted me and they give detailed comparisons with a US company which is priced 10 times this one with lower profit margins. well worth a read as it is still reasonably undiscovered and I have a hunch it might take off in the same way as OTO-which I watched all--- the way up -too stunned to join in! good luck all.

cynic - 22 Aug 2006 07:51 - 18 of 3050

Soul* .... Thanks .... I am persuaded though not without a little trepidation .... order already in and now await confirmation from MM ..... done at 153

bigbobjoylove - 22 Aug 2006 07:54 - 19 of 3050

TNCI and SOLA covered in the media:

from advfn boards:

closing market report:

"meanwhile traders reported plenty of interest in the 2 recently floated Chinese energy stocks Renesola and Tinci Holdings, both floated at well under their original price and dealers see them as undervalued and playing catch up"

and

"over on the junior market aim newcomer Tinci holdings attracted interest as traders spotted enormous potential in its Flue Gas Desulphurisation product."

soul traders - 22 Aug 2006 09:49 - 20 of 3050

Fortitude, I'm always glad to see people basing their arguments on mathematics rather than just wishful thinking, but I'm not sure I can agree your sums.

According to my reading of FT.com, there are 100 million shares in issue.

Your 12 million estimated profit at PE 15 gives a market cap value of 180 million, or 180p per share (not 18!).

I calculated, based on the fact that the last quarter's profit of $5.05 mil was earned on approx 8 MW of wafers being produced, that on the 80 MW they aim to produce in a full year they should earn $50.5 million. (EDIT: at least - one assumes that operating efficiencies and/or economies of scale will also continue to improve and boost profits; the one thing we can't say yet is how successful they will be in selling everything they produce, although early indications seem to be that they are signing lots of new contracts)

Which is a pre-tax profit of approx 26.5 mil. Subtract 30% for corporation tax (although I don't know what the tax regime is in China) and you get 18.55 mil.

Multiply by 15 and you arrive at market cap 278 mil, conveniently also 278p per share.

I would like to do some more research - MP tells me there's lots worth reading on ADVFN, plus I'd also like to get the AIM admission document under my belt. I just want to be sure that the sums bear some relation to reality.

If I'm talking total bilge, please feel free to disagree and I shall amend my post forthwith.

Cynic, a pleasure as always. I see that the SP hasn't quite done the vertical lift-off I was anticipating this morning; I hope there is some kind of tactic involved by the MM's to shake out some shares but can't confirm this as I can't view the individual trades.

Moneyplus, many thanks for your mail. Will reply anon.

soul traders - 22 Aug 2006 09:52 - 21 of 3050

Whatuwant, I'd be interested to see how your arithmetic pans out, too. With so much to go on in the quarterlies, it ought to be child's play, but I'm always interested in others' opinions as they may have a better-informed take on things.
