In the US tonight, according to preliminary calculations, the Dow fell 79.96 to 11,533.23. The S&P500 fell 7.15 to 1,318.03 and the Nasdaq Composite fell 15.14 to 2,237.75.

Good morning traders!

In Asia today, the Hang Seng ended the morning down 57.44 points at 17,562.53, while the Nikkei was recently down 184.95 points at 15,649.28.

New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for November delivery, was up 36 cents at $61.95 a barrel from $61.59 in US trade overnight.
