In the US tonight, the Dow was last up 44 points at 11,994. The: Nasdaq Composite was down 6 points at 2,339 while the S&P 500 inched up 1 point to 1,365.

In Asia today, the Hang Seng ended the morning down 45.37 points at 18,002.72, while the Nikkei was recently down 110.13 points at 16,542.87.

New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for November delivery, gained 35 cents at $58.00 a barrel from $57.65 in late US trade overnight.

MMs are playing games on marking the bid price down when there is more buying than selling, only to marked it up later much higher.
