Hello traders!

In the US tonight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was last up 32 points at 12,189 off a session low of 12,102.90. If it were to end the session at this level, the index would log a record close.

The Nasdaq Composite rose 15 points to 2,391, its best level in nearly six years, while the S&P 500 was up 5 points at 1,386.

In Asia today, the Nikkei 225 closed 17.17 points lower at 16,198.57, while the Hang Seng ended the morning up 121.10 points at 18,932.34.

New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for December delivery, was up 9 cents at $59.92 a barrel from $59.83 in late US trade overnight.
