Hello traders!

In late afternoon trading in the US, the Dow Jones was down 6.41 points at 12,322.07. Earlier in the day, it had fallen more than 76 points.

The S&P500 slipped 1.44 points to 1,411.60 and the Nasdaq Composite fell 11.28 points to 2,431.28.

Good morning traders!

In Asia today, the Hang Seng ended the morning down 277.68 points at 18,629.49, while the Nikkei closed up 55.15 points to 16,692.93.

New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for January delivery, was down 8 cents at $60.94 a barrel after closing at $61.02 in US trade overnight.
