Are you Chinese and trading?

claireloussou - 16 Apr 2008 12:31

Im a PhD student in Anthropology at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Im currently looking at how Chinese people living in London perceive risk and deal with risk on a daily basis. I thought that people trading in the stock market would be particularly relevant people to speak with about this.

Whatever your experience is, wherever you have just started trading or have done so for years, Im interested to hear about it. Im notably interested to explore with you what makes a good trader and the kind of skills that trading, according to your point of view, require or what kind of risk, you think, trading deals with. Some of the questions I would love to explore with you would be for example: How are you learning those skills? Is your Chinese cultural background an asset in that respect? Do you think that trading involves similar or different risks and skills as when setting up/running a business? I have more questions but Im also interested to hear about your own questions and personal analysis about trading and risk.

Please do get in touch with me by email anp01cl@gold.ac.uk to share your experience or just to comment.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.
