(Ithought it might be useful; to start a "new thread" for the combined company - that's PTI+BTG . . .) - I am assuming the EPIC will remain the same, as I've not heard any different.

No specific comment, except I'm glad the deal went smoothly - and - await further comment.
EDIT(9Dec08), 1.2m bought today at 17:02 shows someone want them, otherwise Buys/Sells pretty even. Could this be an Institutional purchase?

Greekman - I read that write-up (in the MoS) - yet it didn't mention Vs (odd that?) . . . . still it was a useful . . . but the sp has slipped 5% . . . can't complain, eh?
PS _ I missed Dir Sell of 200k (yikes!), but this is Protherics Director who came over and sold a chunk of shares (---to meet tax liabilities...), as a result of some (looks-like Options),PTI-deal.
This must stop and we focus only on Execs that are holding all they can, preferably without Options...if they have belief in the company: - use your own money, like anyone else.

Combined Company Thread

The Jan09-Update was onwards and upwards, without any back-bighting that can come from a joining of businesses, with their internal "empires".
However, I didn't get the impression they were slimming-down Management, (just yet) probably best to see how things pan out and where Execs can expand into newer roles. . . (but the site closures are a Start)....so it's still looking good, IMHO.
I had shares in both and it looked good to me, esp as they might secure better deals in US - and "now" is probably a good time to be getting stuck-in.(ie before any really valuable drugs are approved). In the US even this combined business isn't very large, but their stream of drugs looks impressive (from where I sit!).

Noticed some price-slipping, but I guess folks really want Exceptional News, which is a little unrealistic since Approvals take time. Essential to be "in" than watching, eh? (Prices can rise dramatically on thin trades).

14July09 - seems the rise recently (now 1.60), may be due to an independent Research Note, often loved by Brokers to drum up business in "bargain shares" by trawling the Share-register ( a process I detest!) - still, if it boost this stock who's complaiining?

Two years later and we have the prospect of buying another Co to add to the as-yet untested US-Sales Team, not even as many as 1-per-State (DYOR). Still shareholders can meet early Jan2011 to decide if we want to blow the Co's coffers on Biocompatibles.
Some believe it's too generous....and wonder "when" (not "If"), the begging-bowl will be passed to investors.
