I would think the people who have tried to stop N, Griffin appearing on QT have done more to promote the BNP than N.G..
I would like to ban Nigel Farage and any of his cohorts from appearing on the programme.
Thinking seriously, as to whether any of the tory shaddowy front bench should be allowed on any TV programme.
See the latter as possibly quite corrupting.
Although, they are not as plausible as Nick.

This is another example of how these puppet television companies managed by wealthy socialists use Griffin's appearance on a political program (I won't be watching...a good film is better ).....labour ratings to go up after the showing ?....probably... so they pretend that they are being democratic and at the same time are rubbing their hands together !.

Churchill shared a meal or two with Stalin.
Many have shook hands with Blair and Thatcher.
Doesn't me they have been tainted by doing so.
I doubt there are many without "interesting" things in their pasts.
Personally, I thought the QT was pretty appalling with the level of discussion found in a junior school playground.
Character assassination does not advance argument, but does give sympathy to the person under gang attack with their pre-written scripts. The latter was most obvious from Jack Straw and the torie participant.
Jack Straw is capable, but why he had to resort to reading a poorly constructed declaration at the end bewildered me. I expected more from him.
I think the followers of Nick G., BNP., UKIP. will think he did well and his position will have been consolidated by his performance and lack real argument from the rest of the panellists.

Just heard another comment.
That QT was not the usual format, but a "let us destroy N. Griffin". This could be done to any other politician.
It would have been interesting to hear his opinions on the EU, Iraq, Iran. Afgahanistan,
Bankers. the economy.
Rather than a feeble attempt at a character assassination,

JB, I said the followers.
Many who held preconceived positions, from either end of the political spectrum, will obviously hold on to their views.
Probably, whatever occurred on the programme would be used to buttress their positions.
It may be entertainment, when you have a group attempting to argue by interruption of, or "shouting down" of any opposing view, accompanying it with attempts to denigrate a person's character, but does little to change real opinion.
I don't hold N.G's opinions, but I can understand why they appeal to "little Englanders", as well as many on the right of politics in this country.

I agree David D did not chair it well , he lost control at times and allowed a slanging match. I thought the Tory woman and the American woman were the best panellists--clear and concise. If N G had been allowed to finish his points I think more people would see his shallow stupidity and how twisted his views are building on people's natural concerns.

Fred i dont think anyone will look at that as positive even his supporters ,he just got shouted down ..
moneyplus, i do agree that he wasnt allowed to answer anything for more than a couple of seconds and because of that there was no point having him on ,it was never going to be anything other than what it was .

JB.
Many of the public will have sympathy for those who seem to be on the reception of "abusive" behaviour. Those members of the BNP or have sympathy with their views will feel they are in the same position of NG and wish to support him.
It surprises me how many of the electorate in this country identify with NG's positioning and if they have the opportunity would possibly vote BNP.
I think this is due to the antics of all three major political parties posturing to gain what they see as the popular opinion rather than trying to conceive a sensible policy to immigration and implement it.
Working out a reasonable approach is difficult, implementing it will be extraordinary hard.

When I looked at QT last night the only attempts at thuggery came from Huhne, Warsi and to a lesser degree Jack Straw.
Granted it was verbal and not physical, but the discussion level of the programme was appalling.
Shouting somebody down is not discussion.
==================
The public response of NG about the program today, was as I expected and from some interviews being shown on TV news programs, has only increased the BNPs following and likely support.

Tabby, thanks for posing the question. I think if the management had been better the situation described would not of occurred.
Ps. I am not a politician. Just practising for my next life. 8-)
