All,
The Free BB thread headers and body are now open to anyone to view without being registered. To post to a thread a user will need to register and choose a username.
Thanks

So non-registered viewers still register a hit on the threads with meters ?

ravey,
This is what I suggested ADVFN do years ago!
Then have verifiable registration for those that want to post.
guests can access without registering makes sense to me.

Any sensible suggestions to advfn are a waste of time !
Their office is manned by robots, their real staff are too busy on Neo Nazi marches
all over europe, sense is not allowed, who wants to read their bulletin boards anyway, they are full of cowboys !
Email to advfn...erm excuse me but this person is making up blatant lies for a pump
and dump, infact he's breaking the rules, what are you going to do about it, answer, we will do nothing and ban you instead, that makes sense !
Ask yourself this, they claim to be the busiest and best site around, it's a share site where people read their bulletin board but you will be banned for starting a
thread on their very own quoted companies Afn and Onl, oh to be a fly in the wall
in their office, gives the impression of a cross between loony tunes and hitler !

ravey: it appears that ADVFN have aroused your anger by banning you or otherwise. This bad experience clearly has clouded your judgment to give an exaggerated gloomy assessment of the ADVFN bulletin board.
I myself have my own little grumbles with ADVFN and certainly would find quite a few things to criticise. Especially today I am not in a particular good mood in relation to the way they are running things. However, fair is fair: a completely one-sided account of their affairs which misleads and does not give the true situation is not to be condoned.
In particular the claim that the ADVFN BB is full of cowboys and not worth reading is far off the mark. There are certain threads on ADVFN where the clowns congregate like the housing thread but there are other threads which have quality posts . You can filter out the clowns as you can here.
I am sorry to hear that ADVFN have treated you badly but nevertheless: be honest and fair. Unfortunately, the moneyam board has not yet attracted sufficient contributors to keep a lively discussion going each and every day for the major companies.
Further,as stated above, moneyam restricts access to the traders threads(correction: traders room) to subscribers while ADVFN give free access. The truth is that both sites have their good and their not-so-good features. The one of them who best responds to their users needs and keeps steadily improving will be the long-term winner .

Traders Room is registered users only, Investors Room can be viewed by anyone. (Perhaps that is where the confusion lies - Thread as opposed to Room).

Yes Harry. Thanks for clarifying that .
I think it is fair to say: to put it politely , that the moneyam BB is a bit quiet .
I think they could do something more to entice postings by quality posters.
I see that Greystone is here and does provide that as he has done for many years first at ADVFN and now here . Perhaps a few freebies thrown in in return for regular quality posts or new thread creation might do the trick.
I am not at present a paying subscriber, so I don't know if the traders room fulfills that purpose. Presumably Bullshare posts there with some useful tips.
I have been using the Moneyam site so far mainly for charts which are good and in my view much better than what ADVFN has to offer. I might take more an interest in other features of this site in future.
