CMC are to stop taking spread bets on UK AIM shares from Next Friday.

UK AIM Share Bets
Please note that from close of trading on 21 January 2011, we will no longer be able to open new positions on AIM shares on Marketmaker.

From 21 January 2011, we will no longer be offering UK AIM shares so open positions can only be closed out or reduced by calling us on 0207 170 8202 (UK) or +353 (0)1 256 3060 (Ireland). AIM share bets that remain open will be closed out at the closing price on 11 February 2011.

This decision has been made following a periodic review of our product list, considering various commercial and technological benefits of supporting automated trading of AIM shares.

In other words "WE DON'T FANCY OUR CHANCES!" :O)
