GRUMPY OLD MEN CHRISTMAS THREAD. (S-IT)

goldfinger - 26 Dec 2013 16:45

I hate Christmas.

So many people trying to make you believe something they are not.

Relations turning up and boring you to death, crap tv, religion forced down your throat,no shops open, but worst OF ALL no pubs open to go to.

My little village as seen 3 pubs close in the last 18 months, thats all of them, but their is the local Tory club so it came to 2 pm and my mouth was watering salavateing at the prospect of a real hand pulled pint of John Smiths and a bag of pork scratchings.

Anyway I set off thinking no more canned rubbish for me. I could smell the beer in the air it smelt grand.

Anyway i got to the door and no lights on and door shut. i thought to myself what the F is going on here.

I then looked to my right and a message said open again at 3pm Friday.

I could'nt believe it i was shattered.

JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU CANT TRUST THE TORIES.

Its murder DC pure murder.

cynic - 26 Dec 2013 17:44 - 4 of 40

with a little forethought, you could have gone to your local brewery and picked up a small keg of real ale with no trouble at all ..... you could then have invited red-fred over, except he would have soured it ..... + *anker who would also have brought his gambling and drinking muslim buddy

overall, you could have had a truly wretched time, which you were actually fortunate to avoid

I do know where you are coming from goldfinger. lol . I have liked the run up to Christmas this year with family meals out, a very good pantomime with Jean who left eastenders at Stevenage. A really good Christmas.

Manuel,

You seem more bitter and turgid than usual.

Was your wine off or didn't they tip you enough.

G/F, having traveled and lived in lots of different parts of this Country I have come to the following conclusions:

Living in a Village or City can be absolutely useless in practice because it only gives you "some" things. Towns with access to a City are better. This is all obviously a general view as the town has to be to your liking (and one that Alf + H'S don't go anywhere near) -):
