In the US last night, the Dow rose 10 points to 17,078, the Nasdaq lost 25 points to 4,573 and the S&P 500 lost 1 points at 2,001.

In Asia today, the Nikkei was recently down 34.49 points at 15,693.86 and the Hang Seng down 68.46 points at 25,249.49.

WTI crude oil traded at $95.54 a barrel and Brent at $102.77.

Gold settled at $1,268.90 an ounce.
