In the US on Friday, the Dow lost 130 points to 17,372 the Nasdaq lost 60 points to 4,593 and the S&P 500 lost 18 points at 2,003.

In Asia today, the Nikkei was recently up 43.33 points at 16,926.52 and the Hang Seng up 9.28 points at 23,494.69.

WTI crude oil traded at $47.93 a barrel and Brent at $51.10.

Gold settled at $1,219.30 an ounce.
