Why you should attend
The
Retirement Money Show will be held in London on Saturday 20 June, the free-to-attend event’s principal aim is to help educate, empower and inform everyone interested having a financially-comfortable time in later life.
We have speakers covering topics that are relevant to both those already in retirement and individuals who are still in work.
Both groups have big decisions to make with regards to managing money. Retirees now have the flexibility to access their pension funds as they wish; younger individuals increasingly accept that they won’t be able to rely on the state in later life and so must put aside money now in preparation of the years ahead.
Having an effective strategy to address both situations is not easy, which is why we felt the need to create such a conference that can provide answers to your key questions.
The event is also relevant to anyone who uses the services of a financial adviser by providing an insight into the retirement landscape and how reforms, legislation and product advances may affect your future investment decisions.
Some of the big names already lined up to speak at the event include Rt Hon Steve Webb , Minister of State for Pensions 2010-2015, BBC Radio 4 Money Box presenter Paul Lewis who will share his thoughts on modern retirement as will David Jones Shares very own chartist and presenter of Radio 5’s Wake up to Money. We’ve also got talks from Michelle Cracknell, chief executive of the Pensions Advisory Service; Alex Edmans, head of retirement products at Saga Personal Finance; Francis Moore, managing director of European Pensions Management, talking about how to build a low-cost DIY pension. Mike Morrison, head of platform marketing at AJ Bell Youinvest, will address the key debate ‘should you cash in your pension?
If you’re new to the world of investing, don’t think this event is only for financially-savvy people with years of experience in buying stocks, shares and funds. We are purposely creating an event that will serve the needs of both amateur and experienced investors.
Journalists from the Shares team will be on hand to talk to you about the stock market and we’ll have lots of industry experts and exhibitors either speaking on stage or having booths where you can learn more about a wealth of topics.
The Retirement Money Show is free to attend; you simply need to register in advance to secure your ticket. That can be done via the websitewww.retirementmoneyshow.com so please go online, have a browse around the site, order your ticket and tell your friends to come along to the all-day event which is being held at the QE11 centre in London’s Westminster. It is well served by public transport with several tube stations on the doorstep and Victoria mainline station less than a mile away.
