FTSE100 seen opening flat

The headline index is tipped to open broadly flat this morning, according to financial websites, after US Fed Chair Janet Yellen set the stage for a December rate increase and ahead of today's eagerly awaited announcement from the Bank of England.

In the US last night, the Dow lost 50 points to close at 17,868, the Nasdaq fell 3 points to 5,142 and the S&P 500 edged 8 points lower to 2,102.
In Asia today, the Nikkei was recently up 190 points at 19,117 and the Hang Seng had gained 15 points at 23,069.
WTI crude oil traded at $46.41 a barrel and Brent at $48.7.
Gold settled at $1,109 an ounce
