FTSE100 set for flat start

The headline index is tipped to open broadly unchanged, according to financial websites, with little on the economic or corporate news front to spark any major directional shift, while Wall St. traded sideways overnight and with Asian markets a tad lower in early deals today.
US & ASIA
In the US last night, the Dow fell 4 points to close at 17,733, the Nasdaq lost 1 point at 5,074 and the S&P 500 edged 3 points lower to 2,081.
In Asia today, the Nikkei was recently down 74 points at 19,787 and the Hang Seng had lost 57 points at 22,443.
WTI crude oil traded at $40.56 a barrel and Brent at $44.3.
Gold settled at $1,085.7 an ounce.
