I'm looking to trade the Dow without having to set up fresh accounts with a Spreadbetter or CFD broker but I'm damned if I can find an ETF that purely tracks the Dow like ISF tracks our FT100.
The nearest I've come across is DJ STOXX 600, but that only tracks the European scene so that's no good.
The S&P 500 is I suppose the nearest.
Have I missed something with all my searches or is it that I just can't trade the Dow like I can ISF with my existing Broker (Barclay's) in this Country?

Stan, what about the Diamonds Trust series 1. Ticker (DIA)
By purchasing the DIA ETF, you are essentially buying an investment asset that acts as the DIJA index, but is simpler in transaction. There is a direct correlation between the DIA and the DIJA index, but you don’t have to purchase multiple stocks in a basket to achieve your goal. One transaction gives you the exposure you’re seeking.

Thanks, but I don't think I can trade it in this country on my ordinary trading account, probably have to open an International account and have the hassle of currency exchange issues by the looks.

Yes your right D/C looks like I will have to open an International Trading account with Barclays. I looked at doing that some years back.

Dow closed today I see, so footsie to have its customary lazy day as usual.
