Traders Thread - Thursday 03rd August (TRAD)

Morning!

In the US last night, the Dow finished up 52.32 at 22,016.24 the Nasdaq down 0.29 at 6,362.65 and the S&P 500 up 1.22 at 2,477.57.

In Asia, the Nikkei was recently down 56.58 points at 20,022.32 - the Hang Seng down 40.58 at 27,566.80 - crude oil traded at $49.59 a barrel and Brent at $52.36.

Gold settled at $1,271.80 an ounce.

Trade well and prosper.

Good results imo ex CMS

Reduction in debt, pension payments agreed, FCF positive, increased sales in Europe (with hopefully margin improvements over time)

Morning. BOE interest rate decision at 12 today and it's not clear to me which way the banks will move if rates go up.

Rates up = increased margins which usually mean bank share prices rise. However, I think it might be seen as negative for the economy and drag them down.
