Essential FTSE levels to watch

CC - 14 Aug 2018 16:05 - 15 of 33

The selling continues on everything UK focused.

Unemployment figures fantastic. Real wages looked OK to me, although I can see some had hoped for better.

Slowly the slack is being taken out of the economy. A bit further to go yet I think. I think there's still some people under-employed and more slack that the BOE realises.

The price of oil and cable concerns me, in that it is likely to cause inflationary pressures.

It feels like the economy is getting there. The market doesn't care though. It's more concerned about the uncertainty around Brexit. I wish we could get to a decision either way.

Fred1new - 14 Aug 2018 18:01 - 16 of 33

I think Trumpism is playing a large part in the market's decisions.

I wish somebody would write his obituary.

kimoldfield - 15 Aug 2018 07:30 - 17 of 33

Good morning!

CC - 15 Aug 2018 07:48 - 18 of 33

Good morning. Agree Fred. On reflection I think alot of yesterday's falls were due to Trump and Turkey

GLA. Inflation data today.

CC - 15 Aug 2018 11:09 - 19 of 33

Getting a bit fed up with these red candles

CC - 15 Aug 2018 16:45 - 20 of 33

wtf was that all about today.

Considering FTSE down 130 my portfolio doesn't look so bad. A losing day is a losing day though...

Fred1new - 15 Aug 2018 17:56 - 21 of 33

What strikes me as odd today, is the number of shares with prices down but buy to sell volumes up!
