This bit of news has pushed it slightly south today but it appears to be recovering now........

LONDON (AFX) - BT Group PLC is preparing to lift its self-imposed ban on major acquisitions amid fears that the former phone monopoly's sales could otherwise fall into decline, the Daily Telegraph said citing BT sources.

They say the group, whose previous management ran up debts of 30 bln stg with misguided foreign ventures, believes it is sufficiently revived to consider taking advantage of low asset prices in the UK and abroad.
