I lived in BKK for quite a while. Yopu spent some time there? LOL that kings castel full of ladyboys im sure, all those joints down Patpong are full of ladyboys or clip joints, soi cowboy and Nana Plaza are the best. be there next week 4 a week, in Patong, Phuket

what i really love about Thailand is that I can-literally- pull ANY bird of any age, anywhere, anytime with enough persistance(ie saying come to my room for 8 minutes without buckling and moving on)
I checked into the Dusit in BKK the other day and the delightful girl behind te counter got all coy and asked if i had a girlfriend, of course i said no and she asked
"can I apply"!?
superb
:-))

8para,

Thailand is a delightful place, depends what you're looking for of course!

I personally don't like Bangkok, although they now have an overhead railway so the traffic is better I'm told.

I prefer the north of the country, friendly people, low prices, plenty of culture, and a few girly bars for the evening's entertainment. Chiang Mai is my favourite place, and a good centre for exploring the region, and you can do a day trip to Burma.

If you prefer beachlife, then there are so many resorts in the south of the country, and i very much doubt whether you would be disappointed.

Andy.

PS

And as a friend of mine found to his cost, treat any "lady" that approaches you on the street with the utmost caution! The film Crocodile Dundee springs to mind!

tpaulbeaumont - 12 May 2003 10:21 - 12 of 17

Well Andy if your friend likes 'girls' with big hands and feet, broad shoulders a deep voice, meat and 2 veg and an adams apple then its fair enough, if not...hes a plonker! from the sound of it 8para's already been to Thailand
"ive been there"

Andy - 12 May 2003 11:03 - 13 of 17

TP,

LOL!

To be honest, I've seen some far better than that!

MaxK - 15 May 2003 22:39 - 14 of 17

It'll do no good to stand on the seats,

The crabs in here can jump ten feet!

Or something nastier.

LOL !

Censor - 22 May 2003 11:05 - 15 of 17

Thailand was cool......

Bangkok was good..I stayed in the Royal River hotel...each evening Thai lovelies dressed to the 9's just hang around waiting for men to chat to....

Dived in Koh Tao...full-mooned in Koh Pang Yan(sp)...visited Koh Chang and had a week in Chiang Mai...

In Thailand you're never short of women and beer so it gets the Censor double thumbs-up...

It's not a place for the ladies though...the western girls i met over there didn't like Bangkok but it's not surprising...Bangkok is aimed predominantly at men...which suited me just fine...

Andy - 22 May 2003 12:12 - 16 of 17

Censor,

glad to hear you has a good time, and arrived back safely!

I see Thailand is on the Govt's warning list for travellers due to the terrorist "threat", which is sad because it's a beautiful country with really welcoming people, and apart from a very small Muslim sector along the Malaysian border that has been a bit risky in the past, the entire population are peace loving Budhists!

I have never seen any trouble there apart from drunken western tourists, and the Tourist Police are there for the protection of the tourists, because they know tourism's value!

8para - 28 May 2003 12:26 - 17 of 17

As tpaul says the adams apple is the givaway
Kings I/II/III in Patpong was the only place were we could have a beer
and watch live sex on the stage for free, some shady joints around there.
When we were there you could buy anything in the chemist shops, we bought sleeping tablets that knocked you out for 12 hrs which were great for the flight home.

Andy we went treking in Chiang mai

The place i liked the best was Koi Sumai its a lovely place great beaches and go go bars at night. Went to the bob marley pub and there was some strong substances floating aroung it.
