From yahoo.com

London, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Peugeot Motor Company Plc announced today that it will be offering Smartnav, the latest innovation in satellite navigation, as an approved accessory across its entire UK model range.

Smartnav, by Trafficmaster, has quickly established a unique position in the satellite navigation marketplace since its launch last year. Compared to other navigation systems, Smartnav is extremely easy to use and routes are prepared using Trafficmaster's unique live, incident, historic and predictive traffic data, making it one of the most advanced systems available - whilst being only around one half of the cost of other navigation systems.

Peugeot (Paris: 12150.PA - news) sold in excess of 200,000 cars in the UK last year with the third largest share of the UK car market. Smartnav combines navigation with a number of additional motoring services, such as an emergency and breakdown feature and a new Safe Speed (1) option, it is therefore anticipated that it will appeal to a broad range of Peugeot's customers.

Peter Williams, Peugeot's Parts & Service Commercial Director comments: "Demand for satellite navigation has increased significantly over the last 12 months. We believe Smartnav's unique features and high quality traffic content differentiates it from the competition and provides a comprehensive and affordable solution for our customers."

David Martell, Chief Executive, Trafficmaster Plc adds: "This deal with Peugeot represents a significant development for Smartnav and demonstrates there is a growing demand from motorists for in-car navigation and driver information services - we look forward to a long and successful business relationship."

Priced at just 625 fitted including VAT for the standard installation, Smartnav is available to Peugeot customers through its 350 UK dealerships from Monday, 19th May 2003.

I thunk Prudential's overhang has been well and truly cleared today
if it wasnt already.
After that wonderful news for TFC and the fact that the shares were
very near and all time low there is no reason why they cannot double
in the short to medium term.

They are motoring today at 15.5-16.5p + 2.50p with 5.8M shares traded.

The future is rossy, the chart is great, TFC can only go one way and that is arrow3.gif

Even better was the 2.5 million protected sell which showed
near the close of trade.
That is almost certainly the 2.5 mil that Prudential have left
and were selling up, such was the high demand today they got rid
of all in one day.
Now that this long and painful hangover for TFC shareholders has
been cleared there is nothing to stop the shares after the recent
good news from making a steady climb back up to 30p in the medium term.

Europe
Trafficmaster has a number of interests in Europe, including a network of fixed sensors in Germany and shares in Mediamobile, the leading French traffic flow data company. In Italy, Trafficmaster has a joint venture with Targa, part of the Fiat group, to operate a floating car data network.

United States of America
Trafficmaster announced its decision in early 2001 that it is to accelerate its push into the US telematics market with the acquisition of Teletrac, Inc. of Vista, California. Teletrac's operations, established in 1988, make it a leading provider of location-based tracking, data and information services in the US metropolitan marketplace. It has operations in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Chicago, Detroit, New York and Washington DC.

The acquisition of Teletrac provides a strong platform for Trafficmaster's expansion in the growing US market and builds on Teletrac's advanced technology, substantial user base and operations in eleven key metropolitan areas. Trafficmaster intends to integrate its own world-leading proprietary technologies, including fixed and mobile sensors, into Teletrac's established wireless network, to enhance Teletrac's capabilities and provide vehicle flow monitoring to supplement its existing services.

Seems to have found a natural level today. The peugot deal obviously brought this stock a lot of attention, what it now needs is a folow up deal soon.
