News Headlines:    The Dow jumped back above the 9,000 level Tuesday, rising along with the broad market, as investors' sentiment remained positive despite a warning from Nokia.

Credit Suisse Group's Winterthur insurance arm has agreed to sell its British direct insurance business Churchill to Royal Bank of Scotland for around 1.1 billion pounds in cash.

Royal Bank of Scotland said Wednesday that it has continued to make good progress in the first half of 2003. Key features of its interim results, which will be released on 5 August, are expected to include continued strong growth in income, a further improvement in efficiency, and provisions in line with guidance given at the results presentation in February. Consequently, profits are anticipated to be in line with expectations.

Radstone Technology said its pretax profit for the year was 6.1 million, compared with a year-earlier 4.6 million. The CEO said: "Our Embedded Computing business, which accounts for the majority of our profits, continues to provide technical leadership in the rugged embedded computing market.
