I have recently been approached regarding investing in a pre-IPO of a US company called Slender Life International Inc. Please can anyone advise if they have been approached and what their opinion is on this potentcial investment opportunity.

Took a look a the companies web site www.slenderlife.com - although at first glance the site looks professional - when you click on locations all your get is "coming soon" (the same when you try and try and use the link for "call your nearest slender life centre!) For a company that is supposed to have been trading 12 years, and says that they have 6 centres it's not too impressive that they can't supply the contact details of any of them!

They are trying to franchise it - but with the high set up costs and the fanchise agreement only for 10 years after which the franchisee has to pay out again, I doubt they'll get many takers - That is if they really are legit.

Up to you to decide - but you need to do your homework first.

Personally from the little I've seen mentioned above, I wouldn't waste anymore of my time and more onto better, safer investments!
