MoneyAm Streaming Mobile/Handhelds & WAP Service

MoneyAm Streaming Mobile/Handhelds -WAP Service; Beta-test

We have been quietly working behind the scenes with IST to create a unique streaming solution for mobiles and hand held devices together with a WAP share price service. The current mobile/handheld project is based on a java application and is not based on html page refresh, which we believe to be very bandwidth hungry.

We have more information on the streaming mobile solutions on the link below.

For details of our new WAP service please email Felixfelix@moneyam.com

If you would like to take part in the streaming to mobiles/handheld trials please can you also email Felix at felix@moneyam.com and he will send out a unique username and password. For more information on the streaming solution including a user guide and download simply follow this link MoneyAm Streaming Mobile/Handhelds

All,

We've just released new versions of the mobile streaming clients,
i.e. the applications that run on your mobile devices.
These are drop-in replacements for the previous versions, and are
available for download from www.moneyam.com/mobile.

Numerous usability improvements and also the amount of bandwidth
required is less than half, resulting in a quicker and cheaper service.

Any problems please let us know,
Felix

A note for O2 XDA users...

The XDA is basically the same machine as the iPaq (a platform on which our
software runs quite well). However because O2 didn't sign the appropriate
licensing deals, the iPaq comes with Java installed out of the box whereas
the XDA doesn't. So to run our software on the XDA, you will first need to get
a Java environment from somewhere.

The Java environment you need is Jeode, and you can buy/download it from
www.handango.com for $49.95.
To find this, just do a search for 'Jeode'. The exact product you want is:
esmertec Jeode Java Virtual Machine for Microsoft Pocket PC 2002

FYI all,

An addition to the mobile help pages, to clarify the installation process and help with some common problems people have had...

Please note that to install these applications on your mobile device, you should view this site and download using the browser on your PC not the browser on your mobile device itself. Once the software is downloaded to your PC, the synchronization software which came with your device will then install it there using the built-in synchronization mechanism which works with your devices provided mobile cradle connected to the PC.

Please note also that when using the provided software on your mobile device, you should log in using the special mobile account provided separately not the usual MoneyAM account. The user ID is generally the same as your ordinary user ID but with a capital M added on the end. P800 users please note that you may need to switch off handwriting recognition to avoid getting an unwanted full stop in the entry field at the beginning of your user ID.

Hope this helps

Dear All,

We have made some changes to our feed supplier which will mean that you will have to upgrade the software on your mobile.

In Mobile >> Downloads (Click Here) there is a new .sis file for Symbian users. As an example of how to download: Sony P800/P900 customers will need to put their phone in the cradle attached to their PC and click on the .sis file. This will then automatically overwrite the existing software. In some cases you might have to re-enter your watch lists.

As part of some planned improvements to our mobile functionality you will notice that the news is now also available as ticker on the front screen ( go to Todays News click on setup, and then yes to ticker)

Going forward we are working with our partners to produce a mobile platform enabling access to the majority of worldwide exchanges as well as futures and FX.

If you require the Pocket PC download please email us and we will send this out to you later, email support@moneyam.com
