Maybe a stupid question. But i am just wondering why Corus stock is not rising after the financial news made last week. I am a Dutch stockholder and in the Netherlands shareholders are very positive about the on going talks with the banks concerning the finacial deal. And about the FTSE 250 is the same positive thinking.
Sorry if my english is a bit rusty, but it's a long time ago i tried to write in english:-).
Looking forward to your answers.

Hello Lisette, I don't know much about Corus but I thought I would look over on
www.advfn.com
to see if there was anything that would answer your question.
From the Scunthorpe Telegraph (honest!) 13th June
http://www.thisisscunthorpe.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=56022&command=displayContent&sourceNode=56021&contentPK=5995688
It gives some background including about the Anglo-Dutch disputes and Lakshmi Mittal and then
"The talks may also influence Russian businessman Alisher Usmanov, who has bought 5.11 per cent of the company.
Outgoing Corus chairman Sir Brian Moffat told MPs recently: "He wants to be supportive of the company as an investor but we have no suggestions going further than that."
He is known to have built up his stake since March, when Corus shares hit an all-time low of 3.75p after the aluminium sale was vetoed by the Dutch and Tony Pedder, chief executive, was forced to resign.
Mr Usmanov has been named in a fraud suit over company mining rights in the former Soviet Union."
I believe the fraud suit referred to concerns the Archangel Diamond Company. Usmanov is a fairly notorious character whose name crops up in various tales from the Yeltsin era particularly to do with the oil sector.
Anyway I am sorry to say, it does not sound like a situation sensible investors would want to get into.

Girlnod: Corus seems to have a bit of a history in the Uk and seems to attract bad press.
The chart is not pretty but looks like a bit of a recent up turn
