TIKIT To Ride??????????. (TIK)

goldfinger - 07 Jul 2003 15:06

Some how I think the answer is yes. This company enjoys top notch status in the niche software and consultancy business for the Legal Profession. It has just released a Trading Statement that beats expectations out of sight. The company is also now seeking out positons in the US market. Massive future growth should be expected.

Heres the Update.

Tikit Group PLC

FOR RELEASE 7.01 AM 7 JULY 2003

TIKIT GROUP PLC

Tikit provides a comprehensive range of IT related services

primarily to leading law firms

FIRST HALF AHEAD OF BUDGET

TIKIT SOFTWARE PORTFOLIO BROADENED

CURRENT TRADING STRONG

OUTLOOK VERY ENCOURAGING

Tikit Group plc ("Tikit" or the "Company"), a leading provider of consultancy,
services and software solutions to the UK's major law firms, announces an update
on current trading for the first half of the year ending 31 December 2003,
before entering its close period prior to the announcement of its interim
result.

Trading during the first half of the year has been robust, with demand for
higher margin consultancy and support services continuing and the order book for
these services remains strong. As a result Tikit has had an excellent first half
of the year with sales and profits showing significant growth from the
corresponding period last year and are ahead of budget expectations.

The group has extended its portfolio of application expertise over the past six
months with the addition of a number of innovative products for the large law
firm market. As well as the ongoing installation and support of world-class
systems in the areas of document management, customer relationship management
and time and expense recording, Tikit has recently undertaken large-scale
implementation of business intelligence, content management and digital
dictation systems. There has also been a notable increase in the importance of
Tikit-developed value-add software in many of these projects.

Entering the traditionally stronger second half, the outlook for the group is
very encouraging and the Directors look forward to updating shareholders on
progress when the interim results for the six months to 30 June 2003 are
released on Thursday, 11 September 2003.

Background

Tikit Group plc is a multidisciplinary IT organisation which provides
consultancy, services and software solutions primarily to large UK law firms.
The consultancy offering covers both business and technical issues. These
include identifying and advising clients on IT strategy, assessing feasibility
of potential options and specifying or designing infrastructure. Recent emphasis
has been on advising clients how to realise better value from existing systems
as opposed to capital-intensive replacement projects. Other core activities
include the installation and commissioning of systems, on-site and external
helpdesks, technical support and training. Tikit also resells third party
software applications where it considers these to be 'best of breed', including
document management, time and expense recording, customer relationship
management and knowledge management applications.

The recent acquisitions of Aurra Consulting Limited, a specialist in practice
management applications and Granite & Comfrey Limited, specialists in knowledge
management systems, have broadened the range of skills available to the Group's
clients.

To extend functionality of certain third-party applications in a law firm
environment, Tikit develops enhancement modules, over which it retains
intellectual property rights. These modules extend functionality and usability
in the areas of document management, customer relationship management and
knowledge management applications.
