Hopefully I can spend a relaxing weekend after a very busy week. I spent the last 2 days battling with the legal department of a city PLC who have objected to the name of my FTSEDOW web site. I know I might regret this bit if anyone has any ideas of an alternative name which has not been taken please post it here.

Surely if they didn't register it then that's their problem.

Bit more involved then that snoball. How about "bullrun" or "snapper" or maybe something like "crocdoc" or maybe "thebarebull" [pun on bear not my spelling] LOL

tried to access FTSEDOW site to 'check something' but no access...is that part 'n parcel of the above?

Can you do a play on letter sounds thing...like FootCeDow or DowFoot....How about CrocShare that has a certain snappiness about it....!

I don't see why you can't use the website name. I think you'll find if you paid for it, it belongs to you.


Since I've been using the Moneyam site, I have always linked the name to you. Therefore tell this legal department that it would confuse people like me, who visit your site and have been doing so for over a year, if you changed the name.

Do they not know that I for one have it in my favorites folder!
