Recently hit 2.67p...been slowly creeping down...

I think everyone on BB's made money except me...this time Im on the right side.

jules99 - 09 Dec 2003 15:44 - 10 of 140

Doesn't get much better than this...last time MATALAN was sub 2.20p

what happened, it shot to 2.65p...

Cheap stuff at 2.18...

DYOR and check charts to see what I mean..

UPDATE -

Looking at charts today, Matalan requires to break into 200 dayMA towards 2.24p - after which a steady rise uphill looks very imminent.

Bought in prematurly a while back at 2.35, (as I missed big rise last time), however at 2.18p MATLAN is cheap as chips in comparison.

Good Luck to all..!!!

azhar - 11 Dec 2003 08:57 - 12 of 140

Profit warning from MTN today shares down 19% to 1.74.

gallick - 11 Dec 2003 17:53 - 13 of 140

Unfortunate, but now you know why it was as cheap as chips!

ajren - 12 Dec 2003 14:19 - 14 of 140

The problem with new threads is there is no history.

The orginal reason MTN went up was there had been quite a lot of takeover specualation that then fizzled out - and guess what - its back!

draw?epic=MTN

stockbunny - 06 Jan 2004 16:09 - 16 of 140

Ok anyone else been mad enough over the last few days to jump
back on the MTN train?? I bought in yesterday at 174p. Well all
the reasons why I bought the first time around are still potentially
good - could be brought out, taken private, merged etc.
Just have to wait and see - trading update next week.....But don't
expect miracles.

brianboru - 06 Jan 2004 16:24 - 17 of 140

The market expects about 14 to 15p of earnings this year increasing to 17p next. So, fairly valued ignoring TO speculation.
Next time it gets over 220p I'm out though.

stockbunny - 06 Jan 2004 16:34 - 18 of 140

Agree with you brianboru - this is a real speculative one from
my point of view so I wont get 'creative' - although...if it's rising
strongly it could be tempting - last time I was supposed (according to me!)
to be out at 250p but held on for 261p!!
Nice to know there's someone else on this train too!!

stockbunny - 08 Jan 2004 15:09 - 19 of 140

Plodding back to break even....

stockbunny - 21 Jun 2004 15:59 - 20 of 140

We are moving up and currently over the 200p marker!
Great stuff but apart from the 'mutter from the gutter' element
that could be responsible for the rise - due to the MKS business,
anyone know of any other reason why it is currently back in fashion?
(Brianboru - you still holding these?)

daves dazzlers - 21 Jun 2004 17:29 - 21 of 140

keep hold bunny, look for the magic 2.60,,,cant say to much nudge nudge/wink wink you no it makes sence,
jamie wants to go and play .
