It was a lacklustre US session last night although ultimately the market put together a modest advance. Trading was cautious trading ahead of Cisco's report.
The Dow closed 8.87 points ahead at 10,724.63 with the Nasdaq 4.65 points better at 2,086.68 and the S&P500 just 0.58 points up at 1,202.30.
In Tokyo this morning, the Nikkei closed down 17.08 points at 11,473.35, after being up nearly 48 points and down as much as 32 in heavy trading, sparked by the yen's fall against the dollar.
Lost broadband at work for 2 days as well as the telephone alarm link up which no-one
seem to know about! BT offered to re-organise our telephone lines to save
us money, provided we moved our calls back to them. Rather stupidly we agreed
and it has been a nighmare!!!! It was supposed to save money and it has just
cost us far more and been extremely inconvient. What has been most annoying
is that they blame us for the problems cause and organised by them!
