Formerly Pilkington Tiles (no relation) their sp has been drifting down towards zero on account of the ease by which others can import tiles from Europe and the far east. What separated Pilkington was hard to fathom lately, but it looked an interesting play back in those distant days.
I understand they have moved their operation to Poole where they own some land - perhaps someone else can fill in some details........?
The sp rose 3% today for no particular reason.

[When it is clear to a co. that their market is slipping away, they really should do something drastic! - recently we heard Victoria Carpets of Kidderminster were to cease production of Axminster-style carpets (due to the Public following lunatic TV makeover fashion of noisy wooded floors)....concentrating on tufted which is much cheaper to make (Odd then they aren't that much cheaper to buy when you consider the life)...ah well.]
