I heard from a friend in the city that volumes are steadily creeping up in NMS, it is cash rich and has good investments. Is there a stealthy bid creeping up??

NMS up 9.5% on friday. The company is expecting 2 or 3 items of positive newsflow over the next few weeks from start-up companies it has invested in. Mainly concerning potential flotations. Pricerunner is likely to be the first. Being cash rich there is also the possibility of a share buyback. Either of these things should result in a substantial rerating.

NMS has raised more cash by selling half its investment in German company Spuetz, from which it also gets a substantial dividend. Spuetz shareprice has also risen sharply following its investment in Twister Group. NMS raised this cash to further develop its core venture capital portfolio. See yesterday's AFX news for further details.
The market seemed to like this. Share price up a further 3.85% yesterday.

The price has dropped recently due to a lack of news.
The results are out today and all looks well. In particular, the company plans to do a share buy-back which should boost the price - see last paragraph of results report before the actual figures.

NMS announced yesterday it will start a processs of capital reconstruction allowing for share buybacks. This follows the return of cash from it's Pricerunner holding and the proceeds of the dividend from partial sale of its investment in Spuetz AG.
NMS also announced it now has a venture capital portfolio which it believes can be developed and sold for more than its book value.
