dana petroleum (DNX)

MAXTON - 11 Mar 2004 21:32

any news about share price. Seems to be static. When are results due? Should I keep shares

Maxton. "Seems to be static"????? Overall DNX has been static for the past two years; though it has been possible to trade the peaks and troughs to advantage; and I've been fortunate in my timing with this one. It is a great stock for demonstrating that shares are for buying and selling - not for buying and holding!

It is interesting to overlay the DNX chart with that of its peer Paladin (PLR), PLR is just one of many Mid-cap Explorer/Producers that have enjoyed the bull market phase you would expect with crude oil prices above $30. Whilst DNX have been static for two years, PLR have doubled.

However, if you look at the charts (and the charts do work well for this sector) you will see indicators abound that suggest a sharp upward move is on the cards for DNX. The results are due at the end of this month - 26th March possibly. Current price 245-250p. Personal target by end June: 320p.

I have held them for 2 years and am waiting for them to "strike oil". Have faith they were a very successful company prior to the break up of the Soviet Union.
