Cyprotex - So much for good news (CRX)

willfagg - 10 Jun 2004 11:23

Anyone know why the share price has dropped from 25 to 10.The analysis was the they just needed to announce contracts .....which they did. On same subject BRF(bright futures) have done everything they said they would do and more with an excellent recent set of results recently and there share price has halved? Maybe the explanation is if the city dont like you (or find you sexy) then they ....just dont like you!I also think these smaller companies can be very bad at managing their PR and sometimes go months without announcing any news ,which nobody likes. As you may have guessed thes ar my current golden turkeys and may be guilty of whinging!

No money announced ref contractual agreements.Everything about them is positive (check RNS'S),plenty of money,AGM decent, further agreements expected soon.Robert Atwater totally perplexed as to why the price has gone down since Feb considering all good news.MM's playing with it,city don't like it (following plumber debacle)which CRX were totally exonerated.
Sheffield Uni had an action over them on SYMCYP but that was sorted amicably and CRX do not use it in their software, they even had the forethought to keep hold of money to pay Shefield should they of needed too.The big Pharma's have provided them with contracts which they would not of done so if they thought their was a rabbit off. The institutions that have them haven't sold a single one yet therefore they must be very positive.
As for the turkey can't help not a cook but they all get fatted up prior to being gobbled up by someone else.

Hope it helps.

Many thanks "up and down" for the information . when i first boughtI thought this one was a speculative share as they needed contracts and endorsement s from some major players. However when the price climbed to 25 i thought it was just the beginning as the potential of their product to the big boys in pharma seems huge.

possibly will state "in line with expectations" though at least we should see what the agreements with all the various Pharma's are worth. It can only be positive overall considering they almost went bust in Dec2003,since then there has been nothing but good news.

here's latest RNS, which I believe are excellent and certainly place Cyprotex on a good footing and we should now see increased momentum in the stock over the comming months.
