The Traders Thread, conceived with such vision by Crocodile and continued with such aplomb by Martini, is a tradition that I hope will continue to flourish under my stewardship.
That visitor numbers and daily activity levels continue to grow, is a great testimony to the forward thinking of David Anderson who set the standard, and to the knowledge and infectious enthusiasm of the regular users who actually make it work.
I am determined to maintain the Traders Thread as the practical tool it is. I can but hope to emulate the skill, effort and input of my predecessors but I will give it my very best shot.
I will be looking at ways to improve the technical format to ensure that maximum accessibility and minimum load-times are achieved while still maintaining (and expanding) the data content.
Maybe we can look at adding to the data available to you daily. If you have any ideas or suggestions along those lines, that you think will add to the enjoyment of the Traders Thread experience, please feel happy to contact me and let me know about them. I can always be reached at greystone@moneyam.com.
Thank you to David for this great idea and to Martini for doing a perfect continuity job. It is a hard act to follow.
On a trading level, this week promises to be a little more active than of late.
Bargain-hunting seems to be flavour-of-the-week and that is always fun. All levels of the FTSE have suffered in recent weeks so there must be some cherries out there ripe for picking.
Also this week, we have a few more companies reporting results than recently. This is always an opportunity to make a buck.
This week look out for Rexam maybe the price already reflects any goodies in their results. However, the unprecedented level of ramping by brokers and press alike over the past week makes them worth keeping an eye on.
Another to look out for could be Persimmon; maybe ready to capitalise on the good performances produced by builders this time around. I included these in my thoughters spot a couple of weeks ago and they have already shown some promise.
Maybe Bodycote or Imprint will come up with something special today. They are on my stockwatch, just in case.
Tech stocks did OK in the US overnight, so maybe there will be some retracement for ARM today. ;-)
I hope you all enjoy a good days trading.
Good hunting,
Greystone

Is that a company worth putting my hard-earned cash into? I wouldn't like to lose all my savings you know.
;-0
Oh, I also added to my MRS short at 278p. SCAP was annoyingly holding the damn thing up so got them to shift down 6p. LOL! Cheeky mongrels.
