after all, we are an Island

hilldee - 28 Sep 2004 10:48

In view of the fact that our exports now seem to depart the country via 'invisible exports' and our actual trade in 'hard goods' seems to become less and less - is a company extensive in Ports really interesting? Well, they might be if they hold extensive land in areas now languishing as Port Operations. Having seen what could be done in other areas there are any number of smallish harbor's capable of redevelopment, even leaving a small port still in operation and taking the cream off land as profit.Incredibly we still have extensive and active Port facilities and they are not ALL in the hands of one company. The answer may be sought and found on AIM.

Well, nobody 'bit' so it will have to be me who takes the profit. It really is astounding how inbred all the correspondents on these pages are. I have for years advocated MEARS on these sheets (the price has risen from 50p to 186p and all you guys show is supreme boredom. to say that I have made a personal fortune is an understatement....and now I have another one, but you are all so bored that you dont really want to know. Ho Hum..off to the Bank again!!!!

Thanks,Apple. Nice to see that someone actually reads and absorbs. No the other 'participants' would rather be fascinated with the fortunes of such as quiktrak which, on a descending scale, has been flogged to death by one 'pusher' and STILL they follow the fortunes of what, for the moment, is a VERY DEAD horse.I still say that most of them would derive better benefit from sucscribing to'Money Week' which culls all the recommendations and prints them, albeit a tad late. BUT often these 'late tips' can offer benefit in that the initial horde has plunged, profit takers have dealt BUT the prime message - that the company either does or does not have a better future can be clearly assessed and a wise investment made.
