Clitheroe Caption Competition (COMP)

Greystone - 23 Sep 2004 08:26

I thought it might be fun to run a caption competition to go along with the Traders' Day at Clitheroe.

You have all seen the picture often enough, but what alternative captions can you come up with?

Maybe the enigmatic young guy in the front row, studying the screen so intently while clutching his
programme is saying something like, "According to this it should be Tom & Jerry now....." But
what is the picture saying to YOU?

(This is a family show, so please - not too near the knuckle please....)

Entries must be restricted to one per person attending the Clitheroe event. I will award a special
mystery prize on the day to the winner who will be nominated by the day's panel of speakers.

Of course, no-one who works at MoneyAM, or Bullshare, will be allowed to enter.

(An uncluttered copy of the pic appears below)

If you haven't made an entry to the competition then now is a great opportunity to do it.

Entries must close Wednesday evening.

Strangly in the news today :o)

BEIJING - China has opened its first club where bald men can let their hair down.

More than 150 million Chinese men aged between 25 and 35, or 40 percent of the male population in that age group, suffer from baldness, the Xinhua news agency said on Friday.

"The club provides a chance for alopecia patients to draw on each other's experience in medical treatment and compare notes with experts on successful therapy at home and abroad," the agency quoted :o)

He cited fast-paced lifestyles and long spells of nervousness as the principal cause of hair loss.

"Patients under the age of 35 often find it hard to choose life partners or find good jobs," he said

Watch out Clitheroe, Nervous bald men on a raft heading your way :o)
