Hello Traders! Happy Weekend!

Like many of you who attended the Clitheroe event, I will this week be looking at Commodities and Forex. :-)

During his Risk Management presentation at Clithoroe, Sputnick made reference to the Turtle Traders System. I have downloaded the PDF document myself and will be reading avidly during the next few days. This really is good stuff.

I will eventually find a permanent home for it, but meanwhile this is the site URL - www.originalturtles.org/ I cannot recommend it highly enough. The download only takes a couple of minutes and is best downloaded to your desktop.

OK, now I will be trying to catch up with the stories I missed on Friday (such as the JJB story) and then taking stock of the effect that the Dow gain of 112 points and the FTSE100 gain of nearly 90 points will have on the week's events. Profit-taking or continued growth. I think the former.

More thoughts for my week later when I have caught up.

Happy trading!

Greystone

Afternoon Greystone - see you are back up and running! It was good to meet you at Clitheroe. It is always nice to put names to faces. Regards. j

jj50 - I had a great time Friday. It was really good to back in the mainstream amongst real traders. Can't wait for the next one now. :-)

Greystone

thanks for the thread as usual - even more dismayed i couldnt make friday now than i was before - sounds like a very productive informative day.

Greystone, now that the Turtle Trading System is being suggested seriously at last, maybe you could persuade MAM to implement Donchian channels on their charts.

Jumpin - 03 Oct 2004 20:09 - 10 of 22

Reminder to anyone in the SW that we have meetings every month in Taunton and they are always well worth attending!

Greystone - 03 Oct 2004 22:33 - 11 of 22

snoball - I'll make sure it goes on the list :-)

Jumpin - Sorry I had to beg off again. ;-)

Seriously, if there are any traders anywhere in the SW, the monthly meetings there are a must. Very friendly, very informative and always very well attended. This is probably the biggest and best established of all of the meetings of individual traders and investors anywhere in the UK. The meetings cross the boundaries of information suppliers so you will meet people in Taunton who use a variety of BBs to keep themselves in touch with what is going on. A really broad school. Highly recommended.

Meetings take place on the first Saturday every month. (If you need to know more, please drop me a line at alan@moneyam.com and I'll be pleased to put you in touch with what is going on.)

amberjane, dont let Alan keep his new yacht in your pond, bully will want to put his motor boat in there as well ;-) Sorry I didnt get to meet up with you and some of the other southerners on Friday, I think there were a few of us from south of London.

Greystone - 04 Oct 2004 12:51 - 17 of 22

Spaceman - I can spot a comfortable mooring when I see one. ;-)

amberjane - 04 Oct 2004 12:55 - 18 of 22

Alan :>)

Spaceman, just enlarging the pond now....how come we didnt meet then, did u leave early? South of London where?

Spaceman - 04 Oct 2004 15:48 - 19 of 22

amberjane, I did leave early just after lunch, I was the short, fat and bald one standing near the back most of the time. I came up from Hastings.

Alan ;-)

snoball - 04 Oct 2004 20:18 - 20 of 22

A Turtle buy signal occurred on the Dax today.
The price broke its 55 day high.

amberjane - 04 Oct 2004 21:52 - 21 of 22

Spaceman....you left too early for me!!! But if you were at the back I should be able to spot you in the next Clitheroe competition picture! lol

Hastings you say, you'd like a Brighton one then, just a little suggestion to Bullie....
