Isn't this the Amstrad e-mailer?
- - surely no-one still thinks this is a good idea - do they.... Anyone that's at all techy will use their computer for e-mails which cost nothing and you have the computer for other uses. The emailer is fine if you're non-techy +stuck in some isolated island etc. but you still need the phone connection, power etc AND a subscription to wretched Amstrad - which is hardly at market price. Once enough people fall for it there is nothing to stop uploading more ads and loading more costs. As I see it no-one will want the product for those reasons. The new version kills MotionMedia (was it? now gone) which were trying to sell videophones at a grand each.
The emailer suffered from poor sales and a damn poor keyboard, pokey screen etc. I think the new one is better but the fundamental problem still remains.
I had shares in Amstrad but sold out evens as I remember.
There may be an NXT-content, but the Amstrad phone is plenty big enough for a speaker, why go the NXT route? I can't see much excitement, until we have better details.
IMHO Mobile phones are the future but something has to be done to improve the tiny screen (make 'em bigger!), before it will really attract.
I hold a small number of NTX
