any thoughts on patsystems plc (PTS)

Good solid company but the punters are not very interested. It needs some good RNS or some tipsheets to write it up.

I have had this on my short list for a while and with the results due soon (end jan) it looks like a good time to get in. When you read the story from the interimes coming forward you find the curent share price a mystery. The announcement by the company in Decemebr saaying that they knew of no reason for the decline in the share price and every thing remained on track also deepens the mystery. The reports are really abour increses in turnover, signing of tier1 bak as a customer + major stockbroker(morgan stanley - i think)reductions in costs etc . Its all very upbeat including a return to a decent profit in 2005.I think the share price has got silly and people are going to wake up to this and start buying in before the results because by then the biggest gains will be lost(IMO)
A multi bagger? dont see why not if it reached high of 2004 it would double and the profit planned for 2005 is massively up from this position.
We know gems are out there, and I think this is one IMHO.If I am wrong it will be my money that will be taking a bath( sorry if that is american speak)
Appreciate other views

moneyplus. agree with you. a good solid company.

Its a mystery to the sp fall. It does not appear that any institutions have been selling but it is an unfortunate fact of life that a few private individuals selling a few thousand shares can knock a hundred thousand pounds off the value of the Company. I hold these shares and have been topping for awhile now and intend to continue while the sp is at this level. Those who are not in now are possibly missing out on a gem.

Out of flava really at the moment... Very competitive market with LSE, KTS (amongst many others) having similar products etc... KTS though, have been getting more coverage recently in the press and pending RNS is awaited...
DYOR though...

plenty of steam left in pts - heading north -

ethel - 23 Feb 2005 19:38 - 9 of 17

Met a man in a carpark two year's ago and he told me to buy PTS started by his friends.Told me when they were 12p,I waited till they were 17p to get in,they never moved past 21p.Sold and forgot about them till they came on my radar again at 12p this year. Did nothing...missed out on 5p rise. They sound more confident than two years ago.One important thing to remember is that the Japanese honour their debts and are good payers. What is the Chinese record on this?

Share price seems to be hitting a lull period, when onward and upward looked the direction.have held these as believed they had much more to run during this year. Anyone any thoughts??

willfagg - 15 Apr 2005 12:11 - 11 of 17

The share price has taken quite a hammering on no negative news! Have i missed something?

john wigglesworth - 15 Apr 2005 12:33 - 12 of 17

AGM is next Wed (20th) I believe, and I expect them to repeat what they said at the results stage: "...deliver substantial profits for shareholders."
Trouble is, the market might ignore this news!

There's been a lot of positive news this year on contract wins (esp Far East) and nothing negative I'm aware of.
I'm out at the moment, but sorely tempted ~14p.

John
