Share has been tipped on T1ps.com as a Buy on 11/3/05 with a forecast price of 170 within a year. A breakout above the 144 mark will be critical

Ray A - 13 Feb 2006 17:13 - 3 of 44

I reckon that DTK is now a share for the present!

8th Feb saw new large scale contract for "Homefree" and this follows on the very bullish trading statement on16th Jan.

Get back in before prlims are announced on 7th March!

Gausie - 13 Feb 2006 17:24 - 4 of 44

That downtrend looks intact.

Right now it looks a reasonable candidate for a short back down to about 1.

A close above 140 could signal the start of a new uptrend, 145 on volume would confirm it.

After very good results on Tuesday 7th, there was a good report on the INDY on the 8th ...

Dmatek

Dmatek has developed and is selling the kind of technology a totalitarian regime would die for. The group's electronic monitoring devices mean a person's every movement can be tracked by the authorities once a tag has been attached to their body. It is being piloted by the governments of a number of European countries as an anti-crime measure.

Dmatek is also working on "well-being monitoring" which will allows a person's body temperature, heart rate and other vital signs to be checked (it has not yet come up with a system which can tell what a person is thinking). The company says this type of technology can be used in the healthcare industry, especially for care of the elderly.

Dmatek is certainly cashing in on its technology. Yesterday, it reported an 87 per cent increase in profits to $3m (1.7m) and these are forecast to rise to $3.8m by the end of this year. At 135p, the group's shares trade at 18 times forward earnings.

Given the company's growth rate, this is inexpensive and from a purely rational point of view the stock is a buy. But from a moral point of view, it is probably best avoided.

Thre is a comment on the IC today, but one has to be a subscriber,

IC Buy (10 March)

'Dmatek, which supplies electronic monitoring systems for law inforcement, has announced impressive full-year results.' They quote financials then go on to say 'Rapid growth in the US was largely to thank for the good performance, although there has also been a string of contract wins in Europe.....the company intends to keep its powder dry for acquisitions rather than start paying a dividend. At 135p the shares are up 14% on our buy tip (118p, 11 November 2005), and still look attractive. BUY'

No. 5
DTK 116 - 118p
Dmatek is a leading provider of electronic monitoring technologies, specializing in human-related applications.

Has delivered seven consecutive years of profitability, has a healthy (and growing) net cash pile, and high earnings growth for the future.

Demand for electronic monitoring devices is in high demand due mainly to two factors :
1 - rising prison populations - electronic tagging and monitoring with Elmo - Tech division
2 - and the continue and highly growth numbers of old people - correlated growth in dementia - HomeFree unit

One of the attractions of this business is that customers typically enter into longer term contracts and Dmatek's renewal rate is truly impressive.
FUTURE
Has won 15 contracts this year some of them as renewal
Profits fcast is for around 11 cents (6p) per share of earnings in 2005, . In June the company had roughly 30p per share of cash, and is cash generative.

Navster,

Thanks for the post! Had taken a profit two months ago at 142p so took the plunge again today at 128p. This company is a solid performer at getting new business and it is time for a re-rating IMO.

Price is still in the trading range of the past year, however with this latest Acquisition news and even more Contract Wins announced recently, believe we will breakout in the coming months. This recent retrace is a buying opportunity IMHO. Don't expect offer to fall below 130p again with the uptrend still in tact (noting the higher lows).
MMs happy to take 30K shares sell today - no fall in share price! Once we get into the mid 130s and the move back up looks confirmed this should accelerate.
Trading update this month should be interesting reading.
All the best for 2007.

'completion of the agreement to acquire US based Pro Tech Monitoring, Inc. (PTM), the world's largest GPS Offender Tracking Technology Provider'

My share pick of 2007 and looking forward to the positive Trading Update likely any day now to propel this share IMHO.

rob308 - 15 Jan 2007 09:56 - 19 of 44

I agree, with prisons bulging at the seams tagging is the logical way forward.

I think there is scope for security/safety tags for children here as well.

all imho

2006 Full Year Trading Update: Revenue Growth Exceeds Expectations. What a great RNS to wake upto :-) and still a chance to buy in before it rises further.

Alfred Marks - 16 Jan 2007 08:39 - 21 of 44

Dmatek sees FY sales beating mkt view, recent buy earnings enhancing in H2 2007

Sub 140p still a buying opportunity IMHO. When we breakout above 140p this will get really interesting :-)
