Traders Thread - Tuesday 1st March (TRAD)

Greystone - 28 Feb 2005 20:46

Greystone - 28 Feb 2005 20:46 - 2 of 14

Good evening traders!

US indices are trading off lows but still appear poised to finish in negative territory as buying interest remains scarce across the board heading into the close.

The Dow is currently 56 points adrift with the Nasdaq 15 points down and the S&P500 6.41 points weaker.

That isn't going to help the situation in the UK tomorrow.

Oh dear!

See you with news in the morning.

Greystone - 01 Mar 2005 06:12 - 4 of 14

Good morning traders!

In the US, renewed inflation worries following mixed economic data, coupled with another rise in oil prices and fears of higher interest rates all conspired to overturn last week's three-day rally.

The Dow closed off 75.37 points at 10,766.23 with the Nasdaq 13.68 points weaker at 2,051.72 and the S&P500 7.77 points down at 1,203.60.

In Asia this morning, the Nikkei is hovering around even but the Hang Seng is down heavily.

Looks like a red day ahead in London again....

Back with some news in a mo.....
