Investment Funds - How Safe?

jacobkane2002 - 06 Mar 2005 22:18

How safe would one's money be with investing it with one of the investment fund companies such as Credit Suisse, JP Morgan Fleming, Invesco Perpetual etc.

It's just that I have heard the stories of L & G.

If the fund is backed by the FSA, does that mean I'm guaranteed my money back if there is a scandal?

What if the scandal happens later in time when the fund would have supposed to have grown? Do the FSA guarantee the initial investment for the amount it's supposed to have grown or only for the initial amount?
